The version I watched was a restored, hand-coloured one and I can see why it is so loved, and so influential. Not much to the story; scientists arrange to launch a rocket to the moon and back, but you can tell it’s peppered with pretty humorous, archaic anecdotes about space travel given what we know about it today! Well worth a watch; though it’s impossible to measure it against modern day blockbusters. Would still recommend.
